Skip delivery and make a Margherita pizza using an unexpected shortcut—frozen dinner rolls. When thawed and combined, these rolls create a perfectly portioned dough ball for a pizza. It’s a clever hack that lets you enjoy homemade pizza without the usual time commitment of dough-making.
Preheat the oven to 450ºF. Spray a baking pan with cooking spray.
Join each of the rolls together to form one dough ball. Sprinkle flour onto a work surface and press or roll the dough ball into an 8- to 10-inch circle.
Place the rolled dough onto the prepared baking pan. Spoon the crushed tomatoes on top of the dough and spread with the back of the spoon. Lay desired amount of mozzarella and tomato slices on the crushed tomatoes.
Place the baking pan into the oven and bake the pizza for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is browned. Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil.
